Kurt Kauffmann Technische Federn joins the Sauter Group
Kurt Kauffmann Technische Federn has been acquired by the Sauter Group. As a result, our sites in Germany and Hungary are becoming part of an integrated group. This transaction joins the expertise of both companies, creating a long-term foundation for the further development of the combined business.
For our customers, employees and business partners, cooperation will continue to be as reliable as ever. Existing points of contact, proven processes and agreed quality standards will remain in place. We will carry on managing orders, ongoing projects and business relationships with the same customary care and continuity as before.
At Kurt Kauffmann Technische Federn, we look back on a corporate history spanning more than five decades. Founded by Kurt Kauffmann in 1973, the company operates production and development facilities in Weinstadt-Beutelsbach, Germany, and Nyúl, Hungary. We develop and manufacture, among other products, compression, tension, valve, torsion and wave springs, as well as wire-formed parts. We stand for experience, customer proximity and a consistent commitment to quality.
The Sauter Group has more than 90 years of experience in developing and producing customized technical spring solutions. The groups’ companies include Heinrich Sauter Fabrik technischer Federn GmbH, with production facilities in Furtwangen and Singen, and Schlenker Federn GmbH, based in Villingen-Schwenningen. The product range comprises compression, tension and torsion springs, as well as wire-formed parts. Direct communication channels, technical expertise and a partnership-based, long-term approach to collaboration define the Group’s activities.

The combination expands the companies’ joint capabilities in the development and manufacturing of technical springs, wire-formed parts and components for various customer industries, while strengthening their manufacturing footprint in Germany and Hungary. By combining their expertise, the companies will be able to advise and supply their existing customers even more effectively in the future. At the same time, the transaction opens up new possibilities for entering additional markets and providing customers with even more comprehensive support. The aim is to combine the respective strengths in a meaningful way, further develop capabilities and sustainably safeguard the companies’ performance.
With the acquisition of Kurt Kauffmann Technische Federn, the Sauter Group is further expanding its strong market position and now ranks among the top five spring manufacturers in Germany.

The existing management will remain responsible for driving the company’s successful development. Business operations will continue as normal at the current locations.
